Tony O'Hare

Entrepreneur and co-founder of software company for clinical trials

In 2000, Tony O’Hare co-founded Forte Research Systems (now Advarra Technology Solutions), a provider of software solutions for cancer centers, academic medical centers and health systems to manage their clinical research operations. He provided the technical direction for the OnCore enterprise software application and directly oversaw the company’s collaborative initiatives with customers and industry experts. Tony built and managed world-class engineering, customer support, and project management teams with mentoring, coaching, and leading by example. He also led the development team that launched the company’s first SaaS product. Serving in key roles including Chief Technical Officer, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Collaborations, Tony supported the growth of the company from its inception to become a market leader until his retirement in 2016, the same year he became a member of MERLIN Mentors. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.
