Dr. Schifreen was most recently Accelerator Program Manager for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF), helping identify and support development of early-stage technologies within UW-Madison with high potential for commercialization. He is the former President and CEO of Platypus Technologies, LLC. Prior to that, Dr. Schifreen was the VP, Research Products for Mirus Bio Corporation from 2005-2008. From 1998 to 2005 he specialized in business and product development for new technologies at Promega. Prior to that he held management positions at Life Technologies and the Du Pont Company. Dr. Schifreen is a founding faculty member in the Masters of Science in Biotechnology Program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Schifreen earned his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Georgia.
