Laura is a biotechnology executive with 20 years of operational as well as strategic experience. She is currently Vice President of Strategy and Healthcare at Datachat, which is a data and analytics platform. Previously Laura was a Clinical Development Director at Exact Sciences, where she focused on clinical studies to advance new tests for early cancer detection. Previously at Quintessence Biosciences, Laura brought a biologic through an oncology Phase I clinical trial. As faculty in the Masters in Biotechnology program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she provides leadership as students bring the scientific and business concepts they have learned together in their final thesis project. She is actively involved in the growth and support of the entrepreneurial community in Madison through a variety of initiatives and organizations. Laura has a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is an author on 19 peer-reviewed publications and inventor on 10 issued US patents.
